The vessel is now plying her trade in the Norwegian offshore market.<\/p>\n<p>Built to W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4\u2019s VS 4411 DF design, Siem Symphony can be powered by either LNG or marine diesel oil. Siem Symphony comes with an overall length of 89.2m, breadth of 19.0m, a cargo deck area of 980m\u00b2 and a maximum deadweight of 5,500t. Among other features, she has cargo capacities for 1,980m\u00b3 of drillwater, 830m\u00b3 of fresh water, 930m\u00b3 of liquid mud, 700m\u00b3 of brine, and 345m\u00b3 of methanol.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel is classed by DNV GL, and has an accommodation capacity for 25 persons. She comes equipped with FiFi II, NOFO 2009 and standby\/rescue capacity for 300 persons. Siem Symphony is now working offshore Norway, where she has been contracted by Total Norge for a period of four years firm plus four one-year options. The vessel will be supporting Total\u2019s operations at the Martin Linge field in the North Sea.<br \/>\nAlso delivered in November was another W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4-designed dual fuel PSV, Rem Eir, which was built for Rem\u00f8y Shipping by Kleven Verft in Norway. As with Siem Symphony, Rem Eir has also entered service in the Norwegian offshore sector.<\/p>\n<p>Built to a slightly different W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 design, the VS 4412 DF, the Rem Eir can also be powered by either LNG or marine diesel oil. Both of the vessels are equipped with a safe bulk hose handling system.<\/p>\n<p>Rem Eir has an overall length of 92.5m, breadth of 20.0m, a cargo deck area of 1,090m\u00b2 and a maximum deadweight of 5,770t. She is currently the world\u2018s largest decked LNG-powered PSV in operation. Rem Eir is also classed by DNV GL, and she has an accommodation capacity for 26 persons and DP 2 station keeping.<\/p>\n<p>She is now working for Statoil offshore Norway, under the terms of a three-year plus three one-year options contract.<\/p>\n<p>Seabrokers was proud to have been involved in the chartering and newbuild process for both the Siem symphony and the Rem Eir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Siem Offshore accepted delivery in November of its new build dual fuel PSV Siem Symphony from the Helles\u00f8y Verft Shipyard in Norway.
