It’s undeniably a bit special when our Italian partners seek our expertise. The project, which has been visited by the city’s mayor, is an important one for an upcoming anniversary, says Ketil Solvik-Olsen, Managing Director of Seabrokers Fundamentering.
Seabrokers is installing 40 jet piles together with Dolomiti Rocce, a technically challenging job. Our jet pile expert Lars Hoksrud and project manager Håkon Ringstad have been central to the work, and it’s great to see one of Rome’s largest newspapers highlighting Seabrokers’ contributions.
The bridge from the 1860s, originally a railway bridge, became a road bridge in 1920. After a fire, it is now being renovated, with jet piles going almost 40 meters deep into the ground. You need to know what you’re doing here!
Solvik-Olsen is proud of the company’s international experience but emphasizes that the main focus is Norway. “We recently completed a project in Stockholm and now we’re in Italy. Our expertise is recognized internationally, but Seabrokers primarily serves the Norwegian market. We have several projects in Norway focusing on jet piling and injection. The acquisition of Jetgrunn has strengthened us and we are very competitive. Lars Hoksrud is an invaluable resource,” concludes Solvik-Olsen.
Seabrokers Fundamentering is a leading player in foundation work such as sheet piling, drilling, and piling and is part of the Seabrokers Group.
