Energy wells utilize ground heat for heating and/or cooling buildings using a heat pump. Depending on the building’s energy needs, we drill one or more wells, often around 150-300 meters deep. It is important that the need for heating is seen in the light of the number of wells, so that the ground is not emptied faster than it naturally replenishes. Many people think of energy wells when it comes to heating buildings. It is also a cost-effective way of keeping areas snow-free/frost-free in cold seasons if there is a need for a sports facility, business park, etc.

With an energy well, you can save up to 70% of the costs associated with heating. The energy well itself has an expected lifespan of over 100 years, and the technical equipment (heat pump) often lasts for several decades before it needs to be upgraded.

A system installed in a detached house will have an average repayment period of 7-20 years, in the long term it will thus be possible to save large amounts. The same system also functions as a profitable cooling system. It is therefore important that you do not take shortcuts that cause energy stores to be depleted quickly, and the plant therefore not working.

Energy wells are also a cost-effective way of keeping areas snow-free/frost-free in cold seasons if there is a need for a sports facility, business park, etc. It is a good investment that can extend the practical life of large outdoor arenas and facilities. The possibilities are many and the profitability is often surprisingly good. Even better – it is completely emission-free and very energy efficient.
