Orientation about the project
The property consisted of a main building of 4 floors, partly on the mountain
and partly on loose masses, which had been distorted over time.
The building was extended with 2 lower floors for offices and stalls. One
building in the backyard was demolished and replaced with a new residential building
on 6 floors above ground and 3 lower floors with parking.
The construction pit required bracing, and a permanent one
refoundation to mountains was carried out, together with a
pillar wall for securing the construction pit.
Basic conditions
The terrain was flat at level C+22.6 in the backyard, and varied
from C+22 to C+13 at mountain level below the building. The reason consisted of
soft clay, with groundwater of approx. C+21.0. Challenging
ground conditions with quick clay required additional safeguards.
Prerequisites
gravity structures.
1.3.
Solution
The permanent security structure consisted of a wall
with piles down to mountains or C+17.5. To ensure stability,
two rows of piles installed with inclination. For middle
load-bearing wall, individual piles were placed under the foundation.
The excavation was carried out section by section, and concrete covers for
the parking building was cast after piling and wire sawing off
the jet pile walls.
Conclusion
Despite challenges such as difficult accessibility,
the project completed within time and budget requirements, with
technical success.
