The demand for re-foundation is increasing as buildings are constructed on ground that may not be sufficiently stable or where ground conditions may change over time. Poor ground conditions can lead to settlement, cracks, and, in the worst-case scenario, the need for demolition.
Traditionally, it has been challenging to bring in equipment for proper re-foundation. Our mini rigs from Comacchio allow re-foundation of buildings with just 2.4 meters of headroom and a 90cm door opening.
The mini rig is powered by an external power unit that can be located up to 25 meters away from the machine, ensuring that exhaust and any potential pollution occur outside the building, without affecting the indoor environment.
Our mini rigs can drill up to 50 meters in depth, with diameters ranging from 114mm to 323mm, and they drill efficiently in both loose soil and rock. The mini rig can also be used outdoors and in steep terrain.
