Orientation about the project

A new 100% waterproof was to be established

safety construction of jet piles which was supposed to be the basis for

new culvert through Block S by Ahus. The building was

founded with piles to solid rock there

safety structures were to be established.

The security structure was to be complete with walls and

floor and have a clear width and height equal to 2.5 m x 3.5 m. It was set

requirements for zero sets, deformations, shakes or

vibrations during the execution, since the hospital was supposed to be in

full operation during the construction period.

Basic conditions

The total soundings were carried out, which showed depths to rock on

approx. 16 – 19 m. The loose masses were assumed to consist of medium solids

to firm silty clay. The total soundings showed that during approx. 10

– 12 m depth was a transition to coarser masses (the moraines).

Under the floor in Block S, there was supposed to be a drainage layer

puck.

Solution

It was established approx. 75 jet piles and a total of approx. 290

running meters. The diameter varied from 1.2 to 2.0 m. Mutually

c/c distance between the piles was from 1.2 to 1.7m. It was also

installed 4 EC1 piles to rock to support parts of it

the existing construction.

Conclusion

No heaving or settling was observed during or after

production. The excavation of the basement showed that the jet piles

constituted a dense construction.
