Execution
We provided a 6 meter rig of the Nemek 1130 type for this
the project. A temporary embankment was established out on the river’s edge which
we disposed of as our work area. This instead of having to do
the job from a barge. There were both compression and tension piles, and in addition
inclined piles. Since we were working on an embankment, and there were going to be buckling stiffeners
273x8mm due to direct contact with sea/brackish water, we chose
here to drill down the knee braces. This is because the rough stone filling
would have helped to destroy the pipes if we had tried to knock them down
in the traditional way. The casings that were drilled down were off
the dimension 193mm. Steel cores of the dimensions ø100mm and
ø110mm, was mounted with a truck crane and shivered before we mounted
the pile hats.

Strict requirements were made for gentle drilling and the use of little air
consider the terrain and the risk of slipping. This was planned carefully, and
with great focus and good execution.
