Purpose
The local conditions with operational railways, the Drammen River and various installations in the ground make the project very complex and divide it into several phases.
The main works for jet piling are linked to a temporary footbridge over the river, support structures for excavation, and foundation reinforcement for the existing station.
Design
The jet piles are adapted to the various parts of the project
Bridge foundation: Diameter of 1000mm with a requirement of 7 MPa compressive strength is installed with reinforcement pipes with Ø323mm
Water sealing: in combination with sheet piling, Ø1200-2500mm jet piles are installed
Foundation reinforcement of the existing station building was carried out with jet piles Ø1200-2000mm
Execution
The project is still ongoing and only parts of the contract work have so far been completed. Lack of space, proximity to third parties and exposed environment, have set high demands on logistics and execution. This applies, on the one hand, in relation to the execution of jet surveying in narrow areas and large distances between rigging facilities and the drilling point, the proximity and risk of settlement of railway lines. But also the handling of the drilling mud has been given great concentration as the Drammenselva delimits the work area and sets the conditions for the strictest environmental considerations
